The airports in Egypt were closed 3 months ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Egypt resumed international air traffic yesterday, on July 1, 2020, and welcomed the first guests. According to this, a total of 9 foreign airplanes should have landed:
in Sharm El Sheikh, a machine from Ukraine with 182 guests on board,
in Hurghada, another machine from Ukraine with 175 guests and
in Cairo, 7 flights with a total of 1,255 passengers from the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Tunisia, Kuwait and Italy.

According to the Ministry of Antiquities and Tourism, more than 100,000 tourists have visited Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh since the resumption of Egypt’s tourism on July 1st, 2020.
